I am so blessed.

I am also becoming more and more aware of just how easily it is to forget. Amidst our crazy lifestyle it is uncommon to take the time to "Be Still, and know that I am God" (Ps. 46:10).

Lately I've realized just how loudly and clearly God speaks to us on a daily basis. If we just slow down and be still for long enough to listen. His will for me literally has leaped from the pages of His word.

"However, I consider my life worth nothing to me,

if only I may finish the race and complete the task the

Lord Jesus has given me--the task of testifying to the

gospel of God's grace!" (Acts 20:24)

“Ah, Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am only a child.” But the LORD said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a child.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD. (Jer. 1:6-8)

I was lead to go on this trip and I'm not sure I can even begin to articulate how I feel about it it. I'm extremely thankful for such an amazing opportunity, in which I know God will bless me beyond what I can imagine; I pray through my team and I, that many others will be blessed as well. I am excited, anxious, sometimes worried, extrememly happy, and often restless.

Through my college years so far, I have realized I am in good company when it comes to not knowing what in the world we are going to do with our lives. But, because of this trip I'm beginning to realize that our lives are happening now. We are living God's plan right now. Sure, we might not have any clue what His plan is a year from now, or next month, or even in the next five minutes. But, we can live His will in this very moment. As I look forward to this trip and all that is to come in the next few months, I am trying hard not to forget that I'm still living out my mission here. now. So, whether God has lead you to Africa, Thailand, or the house across the street. That is your purpose for now. For today.

I pray that I am constantly reminded that God's got my back. And, that I remember money is NOT an issue for God. He will provide. He will protect. He will bless us in all we do according to His plan. I cannot wait to meet my team and embark on this crazy awesome opportunity of a lifetime. I continue to pray that I, and others, remember to live out our mission right here. right now.
