She gave up living with her family. She gave up America. She gave up air conditioning, hot showers, friends, washing machines and dryers, microwaves, a car, a stable life, and all the luxuries of the American lifestyle.
But she gained so much.
I can’t imagine being 25 and adopting a daughter. I can’t imagine being a mom to 8 boys that live here on the property. I can’t imagine stepping out in faith like that.
What I do know is that Cassie is amazing. I know that I love her and am so inspired and amazed by all she does. I’m so thankful for a friendship with such an amazing woman of God. I am in constant awe of all she does for countless boys and girls here in Honduras.
The crazy thing is she isn’t stopping here. She is not satisfied.
As if giving up your entire life to serve God and listen to His calling isn’t enough.
Cassie is raising money to build a girl’s home here on the property. These girls are so incredible. I am in love with them. They have unbelievable pasts. They have moms who treat them terribly. They have dads they never see, if they even know who their dads are. They have been hurt over and over. Yet, I have seen Christ’s light shine in their eyes. I have heard their prayers of pure thanksgiving to their Heavenly Father. These girls deserve a stable home. These girls need beds to sleep in. These girls need Cassie.
And Cassie needs us.
I pray that God puts in on your heart to visit Cassie’s blog and help support the building of this girls home. It is my prayer we can start building before we leave Honduras, and that I can visit next summer and see a beautiful home filled with even more beautiful young women of God.
